It's the only real option if you want to use FOSS software or even if you're just concerned about blink/chrome's general dominance, but it gets worse with every update. AI garbage, firing the servo team, raising executive pay 400% as their market share declined 85%, sent a record of all browsing traffic to CloudFlare by default, advertisements on the new tab page, used their brand to enter the saturated VPN grift market, and god knows what's next. Another funny thing is that they get nearly 100% of their funding from Google (via being paid to use Google as the default search) so naturally they oppose the EU or US splitting up Google's monopoly in any way: https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/mozilla-reaction-to-u-s-v-google/ I still keep using this garbage, but cannot wait for the day Ladybird finally becomes usable.

There's both an airport and train network, but for some stupid reason they don't connect so you've gotta get on a shuttle bus to the train station like an animal. Other than that it's fine I guess.

Went a few times when I was in the states and outside of cities it's often the best option. I've never been to the one in Dunedin. It's across the street from burger plant which is way nicer. Also I'd like it if there were less American fast food places in NZ so I avoid them out of principle.

Of this model of fast food chain, Taco Bell is the only one that I go to. I typically only go when they have nacho fries, which are really good. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and they currently have a big cheez-it cracker on the menu, which is a fun novel experience.

I've been here nearly a dozen times now. It's an airport. In terms of dining options, there are a few places with vegan offerings. Unfortunately no fully vegan places, but the tofu bento box from Hakiri in the domestic terminal was delicious. Unfortunately though I've gotten stuck in Auckland multiple times here (not the airport's fault) so honestly I've gotten a little tired of spending time here

Best cafe in the southern hemisphere. I might be a little biased since they gave me 8 free cinnamon scrolls the other day and I went to their wedding, but the coffee is also genuinely the best around.

I enjoyed it, but it was quite predictable and full of tropes. The world building was very neat.

Just installed this bad boy yesterday. It's still a 72 segment casio watch, but now it has a countdown timer, temperature sensor, tide predictions, shows the sunrise/sunset times, lets me flick through different timezones, can even generate 2FA codes, and still has a battery life measured in years.

They played the song "Lonely" by Justin Bieber on repeat for the entire event final.

They have boats being pulled by mules, and a river and a canal. I didn't see the museum or go on the boat tour, but I might go back.

I really like the part with eight hours of white noise.

Quite nice for being in the US. Definitely could use less parking and fewer cars, but overall a nice, compact, walkable city. It is a little strange that so many of the curbs are just ramps (literally) and the sidewalks are curbtight. I guess so that if a car runs off the road they don't damage their vehicle and just kill a pedestrian instead? Also they do that thing where the turning lanes go right through the bike lanes so every time you make a right turn you run over a cyclist. At least they have bike lanes at all though, so credit where it's due. The Pearl Street market is super cool as well. Just a pedestrianized street in the middle of downtown, very pleasant to walk down. In terms of vegan food options, it has a couple of vegan restaurants, and enough cultural awareness of veganism that it's easy to find the vegan options at carnist restaurants. One restaurant did put shrimp in what was described as a "vegan" taco so that was rather upsetting, but otherwise it's been reasonably doable to get vegan food. Overall -- except for maybe the affordability problems -- I don't think I'd mind living here at all, even if it wouldn't be my top choice. Fun place

I really like the site, it's lots of fun to write reviews and read those of my friends. But people don't post enough! Yes, that means you! Post more!

Tried the Flatiron burger. It had shroomers and brussels, and a homemade beff patty that was genuinely one of the better burger alternatives I've tried. The placement is mildly unfortunate, being in the middle of a fairly massive parking lot. Yet I still had an OK view of the rockies (somewhat obscured by a RESERVED PARKING ♿ sign) so the location wasn't all bad

I'm blown away by the experience of drinking this kombucha. I preferred the name "grape soda" for a similar flavor that was available last year. However, this is incredible!

The opening sequence is just so iconic and instantly transports me into that meadow. I love how films used to just always have singing and dancing. It's not all rosy though you'll have to deal with some occasional 60s writer dude shit and some cringey "romance" scenes, but it's not tooo bad and otherwise it's a film with great vibes.
@kota – September 13, 2024
Omg I've seen this movie already and it still made me cry 3 times. Don't like how they portrayed the aquarium as a generally good thing (aquariums suck balls), and the action scenes are kinda pointless. But the character moments, ugh so good

Really great writing and very funny. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
